I think it's passible, but if you had another option go with that. It's a bit too similar without being an exact match, so it can read as just a bit off
Personally i really like it but i asked because idk much about suits and thought having a contrast tie is a must
Also,the fit?
Another option i personally do not like
it seems a bit tight at the waist, but otherwise fine
The other tie?
I think I prefer the navy, honestly
Thanks. Also, because like i said idk much about suits i made the grave mistake of keeping the blazer open while standing during the function. How bad was i looking?
Looks good, don't worry about it!
Jacket open is fairly standard - no hard and fast rule about it these days
Even when wearing a tie?
Yeah, pretty much any time, ever. Wearing double breasted suits open is fairly on-trend these days if you’re going a bit sprezza
Patrick Grant, director of bespoke Saville Row tailors Norton & Sons, wears jackets unbuttoned—even double breasted ones—as a judge on Great British Sewing Bee: I think you're fine
Alright, thanks. Just as a second opinion could i pair this suit with this tie again in future?
Haha i hope i wasn't looking overdressed at the event
Most of the people were not wearing suits - Classic blazer + hi neck sweater combo
And some other colour denim/jeans
Might be because its winter or teenagers just don't prefer suits
Sure. I think a tie with a little more texture or visual interest would be an improvement, though hardly a requirement
My guy, are you still asking about this after you've worn it to the event? Not sure how many times we can tell you that you look(ed) fine.
