Hwell i think for the deck it should be kept off as i dont see any use for iommu on the deck as it does not even support eGPUs, if it did support eGPUs then i would see a point in keeping it enabled.
i just remembered my iommu kargs got removed once when i ran the deck image (before i rolled my own just to streamline testing)

Tbut i dont think you will really find any major problems especially if you want to develop on your steam deck
Tlike most developer tools can be obtainable on bazzite

KI was already using Silverblue as my main desktop, then saw what Jorge was doing with OCI images and had a brief "wow that's cool, you could make a better SteamOS with this"

Kstarting is super easy, ublue has a ton of guides and examples
FOne of my biggest questions is, how does bazzite manage to get the right firmware that runs the qualcomm chip

Fah ok. I failed miserably today. I installed Mantic MInotaru on my steamdeck, and audio doesn't work, nor does the wifi

KOLED needs firmware blobs & kernel patches
Fapparently it has proipriety drivers
Kwe actually don't have that working yet either, working on a kernel update w/ the patches
