OK so I learned that if you want to add a custom repository to Silverblue/Bazzite you need a special configuration .rpm file and then you just do "rpm-ostree install..." . If the repository doesn't have that special .rpm then you need to create your own .repo file inside "/etc/yum.repos.d". As for gpg keys you just copy them to "/etc/pki/rpm-gpg/" and point your .repo file to your key. - just leaving this in here for other noobs like me

adding a .repo.repo file to /etc/yum.repos.d/etc/yum.repos.d is pretty standard for Fedora/RedHat systems. The gpg keys can trip people up... you can add them manually as you say and also checkout rpmkeys --importrpmkeys --import

A configuration .rpm is just a way for someone to package those actions for reuse by others. Very helpful for sharing configuration (like we do in universal blue), but not needed for individuals.

Hello everyone, I mean I can perfectly stay on :latest but still I want to ask. On my PC If I rebase to :testing or :unstable I‘ve been met with an error in Grub that I need to load the Kernel first. Someone here who had this issue too?

Yeah fsync kernel, which is now used on testing and unstable, requires secure boot to be disabled in order to work properly.

I wanted to have gyro with steam input. Found sdgyrodsu which only works with the steam deck itself. problem is i have a 8bitdo ultimate bluetooth. Apparently someone created Evdevhook2

it of course clashes with sdgyrodsu but this is a good solution for people who use bazzite on a desktop pc with switch controllers or devices which look like switch controllers
