when you redeployed railway might have deployed some old deployment, try this instead https://bookmarklets.up.railway.app/service-redeploy/

ok, i'm trying a redeploy through CLI . if that fails i'll try this. is it different from selecting redeploy through the UI ?

yes it's quite different, the bookmarklet will redeploy from the linked github repo and branch
