So I’m tryna reinstall bazzite to see if I can keep my stuff without having to go through the trouble of restoring everything, and I’m tryna get the mounts right. I always sucked at manual partitioning. Is /boot the EFI partition?
not for steamos you can’t, but you can for Bazzite/nobara. It’s just a ton of work because of the amount of tweaking Valve makes to the default LTS kernels
I’m not very familiar with the process but it seems very labor intensive. There were somewhere around 60 wifi patches that had to be rebased so they would also apply to an up-to-date 6.6 kernel
Question is there any way to downgrade the NVIDIA drivers? current ones are kinda completely broken for games for me or does anyone know how to fix the flicking and black bars for the new drivers (545)
as long as the version still exists in rpmfusion, i believe you can pass the version number as part of the image tag other than that you will have to rollback to a previous build that used the older drivers
but if you already installed bazzite and home is in a subvolume, i do not know if anaconda lets you keep subvolumes from a previous btrfs setup so if you really want to be sure not losing anything i would recommend backing up your /home/ to a different partition or disk first
