You reached a limit of the spring coefficient. By default the Rhino has spring gain set to reach max torque at the edge of throw, you can override this and increase the stiffness by changing the spring gain map, for example (see image) this will saturate the torque at 50% throw, it will be stiffer at the center at the cost of no more increasing torque after 50% axis travel. Also increasing this too much will cause instability and potential safety shutoff of the motors.
