Hello there
continuing-cyanOP•2y ago
Apparently something related to gstreamer, but that should be preinstalled I've found?

Video playback out of the game works fine btw.

who can say when you don't post logs?
continuing-cyanOP•2y ago
Is being rude encouraged here?
I'm not asking for your specific help so no need to be aggressive.
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
posting logs is encouraged.
continuing-cyanOP•2y ago
But does it have to be done in such a rude way?
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
What if you posted logs?
continuing-cyanOP•2y ago
You have nothing to say about that gstreamer thing? I can ask right?
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
I don't, no. Logs might clear it up
jesus christ i'm blind af you did post logs
try turning off prefer system libraries
try turning off Dxvk-Nvapi

continuing-cyanOP•2y ago
As it were first? Well no luck, still no video playing ingame (with ambiant going down).

post a new log, but it looks like you have broken dependencies
i read the logs (best i could, i don't speak french very well) in another thread and it looks like you need that last library that it couldn't find still
https://www.linuxuprising.com/2018/05/fix-libpng12-0-missing-in-ubuntu-1804.html
you probably want to follow this and install the 32 bit version
continuing-cyanOP•2y ago
OK but I'm not sure which file I have to download... they're talking about two different ones or am I mistaken?
libpng12-0_1.2.54-1ubuntu1.1_i386.deb seems to have failed installation (right click -> edit with eddy)
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
hmmm
i'm not 100% sure what you mean about them talking about 2 different files, unless you mean they are asking you to pick between 64bit and 32bit
try the dependencies in the other thread
continuing-cyanOP•2y ago
got an error about a package that couldn't be installed
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
from the dependencies from Allora?
continuing-cyanOP•2y ago
nope
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
again, i'm sorry for being sarcastic earlier. that wasn't professional
continuing-cyanOP•2y ago
I'll try to be less nooby myself. 😉
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
nooby is fine, i shouldn't have done what i did
equal-aqua•2y ago
what was the error when installing some of those packages?
continuing-cyanOP•2y ago
Eddy gives me an error 100, I guess that does not help :p
(installing libpng12-0_1.2.54-1ubuntu1.1_i386.deb )
equal-aqua•2y ago
whats the full output when the install is run?
continuing-cyanOP•2y ago
fyi I followed this and still no videos (same for Late Shift apparently): https://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/documentation/installing/on-linux.html?gi-language=c
libpng12-0_1.2.54-1ubuntu1.1_i386.deb ?
How do I install in a terminal?
equal-aqua•2y ago
note that you wont always get videos in every game
its highly dependent on which codecs the developer used on its movies
some games, videos just wont work
what was the full error? can you copy paste the whole thing or take a screen shot?
the wine dependency thing shows you how to do it in terminal

gztting that gstreamer issue in several games now, I checked my package manager (popos) and installed most of the gstreamer ones, to no avail...
equal-aqua•2y ago
did you do a full system update first before updating this?
looks like its having an issue satisfying a dependency
continuing-cyanOP•2y ago
what do you mean by "full system update"?
equal-aqua•2y ago
like did you update your system first? your os releases regular package updates and fixes.. have you done those? seems something is out of sync
continuing-cyanOP•2y ago
her story and telling lies videos play well when games are installed through lutris... :/
Everything was up to date.
