RThey are just resident on your SSD.
RThis is the fault of Valve, since they do not declare if the bioses dropped are stable/beta/main/whatever.

RI'm having to use steamos stable bc beta is having some issues with the interface for me
RMy wireless was dead when I left SteamOS
RIt was freezing 5 times each day.
RStable/beta, beta is not changing the active window after I leave the QAM or steam button

Tthat looks more like a Steam client (not SteamOS) issue

RIt also happens some times on my end.
