i believe firefox will be auto removed again (not 100% sure about this though) since bazzite relies on the flatpak version of firefox since that one can actually be updated while the layered one requires new image releases to update.
either way you are recommended to use the flatpak of firefox, not layer it

Fedora ships with Firefox pre-installed and we override remove it. The reason for that is it's best to have a browser as a flatpak that can be updated separately from your operating system
