LQuestion as far as the Waydroid extra script that bazzite uses does use a different version of it or does it pull it from https://github.com/casualsnek/waydroid_script
Because the magisk part of the script is broken currently and not sure if it is being maintained still i have seen a couple of forks that are 2 or 3 commits ahead but none have magisk fixed..

LNone seem to have fixed the magisk issue and im not familiar enough to know what is causing it not to work.. so i guess unless someone else fixes it bazzite team might have to run its own fork and fix it.. but that's something that the team would obviously have to decide.
LBut ill keep an eye out if i find one the only other magisk script i came across but can't test because it will need adjustment and im not great at messing with code is this https://github.com/nitanmarcel/waydroid-magisk#installing-magisk-on-waydroid
