Woh, yeah that make sense, i call them bootable usb drives, but its the same thing, i think i will do this method since i wanted to get an enclosure anyway
Hmake sure the enclosure supports 2230 m.2, not all of them do

Hif you are planning to use a separate computer you will need 2 enclosures (unless you have space on your motherboard and it supports 2230)
if you want to do it all from the deck you need a dock that you can use 1 usb enclosure with along with mouse and keyboard

VBazzite is a Fedora-based Linux distribution
H(also the screen will be in portrait mode while doing this so it will be a pain anyway)
Wi do have a dock, the official one, my plan will be: use a live usb with bazzite on it, format clean the internal ssd of the oled deck, clone into the internal ssd the older ssd from an enclosure, i shouldnt have any problem related to space since both older and new one will be 1tb, but probably i will have to increase the space since space degradation in a thing and in that case as you said i will use gparted
TI feel like i need to document the OCI container technology portion of this better. and have it easily appear to anyone who uses Bazzite. Like that's probably the coolest part of all of this and I feel like it gets lost sometimes.

VIn the same way Nobara isn't
VThey're not so far removed from the distro's they're based on to be their own unique distros

VYeah kind of. If you tried really hard you could recreate what bazzite is doing on a typical Kinoite install.

LWell i take back that i fixed my problem last night.. sddm is still showing a desktop login gui every time i reboot on the deck. Why does it insist on doing this
LI suspect a configuration file is borked somewhere.

LIm guessing sddm is not saving the changes that are supposed to stop this?
LIf i exit game mode by switch to desktop it drops back to that screen.

LHello guys i have some trouble and i'd like some help if at all possible. I have been running Bazzite for around a month on my laptop (XMG Fusion 15, with a Nvidia 2070) and it's been mostly fine but now i'm running hogwarts legacy and i cannot manage for the life of me to actually get the game to run using the nvidia card.
LI tried numerous steam startup arguments but it just won't go
Lthe game loads and plays at around 3 fps because it stubbornly tries to run on the integrated card instead of the dGpu. Another symptom of this problem is that when i try to start greenwithenvy it says NV-CONTROL X not found
Li already tried rebasing to latest and it didn't work

Lon the deck do you have a file /etc/sddm.conf ?
