Howday! Was messing around with Rhino while I wait on replacement winwing adapter and the two times I had a chance to try it after about 10 minutes of playing DCS the Rhino disconnects then reconnects again (reported by windows usb device pop up). It stops responding to DCS ffb until I restart the game. I’m running rhino through a usb hub, and I’m flying the f14 with telemFFB as well… any ideas for me to fix this tomorrow?
If I understood correctly, you are a developer of TelemFFB. Is it possible to implement a force trim function for FFB pedals via TelemFFB, since DCS only controls one FFB device? Similar to MSFS, where you can also activate the Force Trim function externally via TelemFFB.
The dynamic spring function for MSFS, does not seem to work for Rudder pedals. Flying from stall speed to Vne, i get the same spring tension. Spring gain is set to 100% in the configurator and the potmeters are disabled.
So, I’m having a similar issue: turn everything on, go into DCS, joystick centers. If I alt tab and somehow open the teleffb windows, the stick goes limp. There’s still effects going on (like when rolling on tarmac), but no more centering. And I haven’t been able to get it going in game when it happens, like a reset. Rather, a full pc restart is required :/
You sure its DCS your talking about? The behavior you describe sounds a lot like the way IL2 can behave sometimes... I've never had DCS reset its FFB state when the window focus changes.
Does the same behavior occur whether or not you have TelemFFB running?
I tried it without Telem, switched windows and the same thing happened. Only way I could make it work is by having everything set up such that I didn’t have to switch windows anymore.
I’ve also had that happen maybe 1x or 2x but it was under heavy motor effect and I got an encoder error. Realized the telemffb settings are based of 50% periodic gain adjusted and hasn’t happened since
Oops, I accidentally cracked the joystick thread connection. when MSFS 2020 starts the rhino in game, The stick immediately dives the y axis into the end stop and with the 10 cm extension (aluminum) attached to a virpil warbird. Wow, the rhino is powerful! How do I order a replacement part and when is the proper time to turn the power on the rhino? I just super glued it back on, gonna wait until tomorrow to rethread the stick.
In DCS I feel like the force is to weak around the center when flying the AH-64. I.e. when I force trim the stick there is basically no force on the stick around the first few degrees of movement. Is there some way to add a “baseline” friction so that there will be more force around the center of movement? Using telemFFB. From what I understood there is now way of changing the FFB of DCS itself as it’s run by the DCS module, but maybe there is a way to ad an effect “on top” of the DCS FFB?
I've had my Rhino for a few weeks now and really enjoying it in DCS but I'm a little concerned about the fan noise when it kicks in. I've made a video - is this the normal amount of fan noise or is there a problem with mine?
The configurator is just that, a configurator? The device does not need any driver? Is the 1.0.16 firmware the latest available? As the "update" is not active. Also, I have a virpil grip, the constellation delta prime. I should use the virpil T50CM2 profile? Thanks
Thanks. Loosening the screws a little seems to have fixed it. The fan grill does shift ever so slightly now - do I need to concerned about dust ingress? If so I could put a little tape around the edges.
