ZAnyone else having problems playing youtube videos after being in sleep mode?
EIf I had to imagine, it's because it allows for more flexibility post install. Some of the time, people want to be able to resize volumes after installation and LVM makes that a lot easier at a very low performance cost. The one thing to watch out for is you probably don't want a logical volume spanning multiple disks so I'd double check to make sure that's not the case. If one fails, you lose everything

ASeems like a lot of yall are spending time in desktop mode on your Decks ... Do you hook up a Bluetooth keyboard? I can't see how to use desktop mode on mine without endless frustration.
TI either use remote desktop software like AnyDesk to type on my desktop keyboard or I use KDE Connect on my phone

MI got a 65% size keyboard that can do Bluetooth and also usb input for using it without BT drivers
Mabout the same size as my deck
ZI have a Keychron keyboard with bluetooth but currently broken due to bluetooth on Linux D; and then a bluetooth mouse that I use in the adapter mode instead
ZPlan is when bluetooth is fixed to only use bluetooth
ZBut I use my Deck as my primary computer which is why I spend so much time in desktop. Whenever I want to play a game with friends I launch into gamemode and run Discord through Steam
ZI get terrible performance on the Deck and a lot of game crashes when I'm not in game mode

ZI have a portable monitor that I plug it into. If I need something even bigger I plug it into my TV
ZAnd I use a 3D printed stand ontop of a USB Hub with a HDMI out
ZGonna see if I can get my hands on something with a USB-C DP Alt. out tho

ZFor the longest while when I was out and about and did my school work and IT projects I only had the Deck screen. It was horrible to work on as a sole display
ZBut using it as a secondary monitor is great
MI tried using my deck screen for one rpmbuild and that was about as far as I ever got trying to do dev work on there lol
ZI basically built my entire ALSA UCM conf package through the Deck screen D;
ZConstantly had to zoom in on web pages and things were just too uncomfortable. Since I don't have a desk anywhere I'm setting either I had to lean in all the time too
MI was testing MangoHud builds so I figured it would end up being easier to do it all from the Deck
MThen my laptop built it in like 30 seconds compared to the 5 minutes it was taking on the Deck lol
ZOh yeah I just used copr to build mine
ZSo I didn't do the actual building but did have to read log after log on copr
MI must say, rpmbuild was incredibly intuitive and the documentation was excellent
ZAt least zooming in on text logs in firefox is easy enough
MI learned how to do it in like 30 minutes with next to zero coding knowledge
ZI found it difficult to understand the spec files
MI had ChatGPT break those down for me

ZI used trial and error. Took me about 30 or so builds until it finally succeeded
