Firefox is installed on bazzite via flatpak right?
VI've just rebased to bazzite from ublue kinoite and it was installed via ostree on kinoite.
VIt appears to only be flatpak on bazzite. Just asking because I'd like to use the plasma integration extension for firefox and that only works on a native install.
ZI'm trying to get my friend into Bazzite since he's recently gotten into linux tinkering and linux gaming. But for some reason he gets shit ton worse performance on Bazzite compared to stock Manjaro with only using feral gamemode. Everything from visual glitches to extreme worse FPS. He's running on bazzite-nvidia right now. Any pointers?
KThat's correct, we do that because you don't want Firefox updates tied to your operating system updates in an image based operating system

VOk. Interesting. I installed it via overlay, but when I rebooted, it wasn't accessible.
rpm-ostree statusrpm-ostree updaterpm-ostree install firefoxremoving it as an overlay now.

ZSwitching to x11 seemed to have helped a tad with some of the visual glitches but curiously enough still some problems arrise. I had forgotten about the wayland nvidia debacle lol. Still curiously some visual glitches here and there compared to Manjaro. It just baffles me considering all the kernel mods and extra packages for performance that don't exist at all in Manjaro
KMight be that Manjaro still ships the last driver release
KNewest one requires explicit sync which Wayland isn't quite ready for
VUnfortunately, plasma integration won't work in any of the contanerized versions of FF.
ZThey do have very very frequent driver updates and focus a lot on that
ZI'm guessing Bazzite isn't as up to date on that front with nvidia drivers
