Game will not launch from heroic. The exe is able to be ran when adding it as a "non-steam game"

After clicking "Play Now" on any game installed through Heroic, the icon will load for about a second or so, and then return to the "Play Now" icon. I've ensured that the proper executable file is selected under "Select an alternative EXE to run". This problem occurs on the two games I've installed so far, them being GTAV, and Enter the Gungeon. Im assuming this is an issue with the Heroic Launcher itself because, when adding Gungeon and GTAV's exes to steam as "non-steam games", they boot fine (although GTA gets stuck at the rockstar launcher, pending confirmation from epic games) Im running the latest AppImage currently available on the Heroic Site I have all current wine dependencies installed. OS: Linux Mint 21.2 x86_64 DE: Plasma 5.24.7 Linked will be the output when attempting to boot gta, seen both through the .log file, and through running Heroic's .appimage via the terminal.

"name": "Proton - GE-Proton8-25",
Change this to wine-GE-latest, delete your prefix, and run it again

I was able to install a wine version titled "Wine - Lutris-GE-Proton8-27-LoL-x86_64 using ProtonUp-Qt, and this seems to have fixed my issue. Thank you for your help

that likely won't last because that's the custom build of wine for League of Legends as implied by the name. could've just installed Wine-GE-latest from the Wine Manager within Heroic without needing to look outside you should not be using Wine-GE-LoL for anything other than League of Legends

Oh i didnt realize that was the build made just for league. I'll grab a different one. Also didnt comprehend that there was a wine manager built into Heroic, I'll make sure to grab it from there
