KWhat is planned in terms of pricing of replicas. Will it be DB size times number of locations?
KAlso any ETA would be welcomed.
KJust one more thing. Can we talk about what range is planned for max storage per account in GA? Will it be around 100GB? Maybe more?
VInitial read replication wont change already announced pricing, https://developers.cloudflare.com/d1/platform/pricing/, which will be enabled early Feb. Read replication is aiming for early Q2.
VFor GA, it won't be close to 100GB, more like 10GB. Want to understand your use case and if you can leverage a D1's database per user model? If not, please share more about your 100GB needs so we can think about it for the future

KThe 10GB is target for one DB. I'm inquiring for whole account limit. As for now it's 50GB according to "limits" webpage.
My usecase would be user facing website -B2C. So rather not in scope of db per user. I don't mind sharding with many 10GB DBs but I wonder what is planned in terms of total space for them.
I would rather want to stay with Cloudflare in case of having bigger growth, that's why I'm interested in total planned allowance.

Rhi @Vy will we be able to us D1 outside of cloudflare worker in GA?
R- the 10GB is only for free-included storage correct? I always able to scale single db size to hundred of GB's correct?
VIn beta, Workers Paid can have up to 50K databases (TBD for GA). Scale out across many D1 databases will be standard
VTBD what the account-wide D1 storage limit will be for GA. post-GA, we do plan to support requests for limit increases like other Workers data/storage options, https://developers.cloudflare.com/workers/platform/storage-options/#performance-and-consistency. @K how much account-level storage are you looking at?

Vno, not just for free tier but all D1 databases would be limited to ~10GB. D1 design favors horizontal scale out, but we will be investigating how best to support larger databases

K50GB is a lot for a start, I'd basically would use around 500 bytes per record. So default settings would cap me at 100 million items over time.
But if there'll be possiblity of increasing it via request then I think I'm good.

MIs there any way of knowing in which zone is my database created? I don't see the field in the API either the Dashboard
AHi @Vy , let me know if you want to talk to more people building on top of D1? We are building something with aggressive end-user latency targets. I think we would test and adopt replicas quite quickly. We would need a way to specify our workers placements and maybe a hatch to go query the primary db when we need consistency guarantees.
