Prisma has no way to talk to a D1 database, so I don’t know how this would work.

How do i access D1 in normal function in sveltekit app ? I don't care about a local replica for development. I just want to be able to read and write to D1. I have got D1 defined in wrangler.toml, I was able to get example working but I am so lost how to get it working in sveltekit. This is a typical code to lucia auth: https://v3.lucia-auth.com/database/sqlite

There are two things here. One is setting up Lucia and second is getting data from D1 in svelte kit.

If you want to get things from D1 you have to use "+server.js" files in kit.

I got Lucia setup got it working with with a few different databases ... i think the root problem is I am not able to understand how "connection string" gets setup for D1 !

any estimation on when D1 will increase the max database size? currently it's at 2GB. I understand a lot of testing are needed to make sure there's no delay when querying the data. hope we get update soon

I need to add a constraint to a column, which isn't allowed in SQLite without dropping the table, but I have a foreign key on the table and data elsewhere. Any way to backup and restore data only, and not the table structure?

What about Nuxt?

Running d1 locally just seems pointless when combined with something like Nuxt. Because I have to run

I just lose hot reloading making it basically pointless to use from a DX perspective. Am I missing something? Or am I expected to rebuild the application over and over to test..?

.first()

.first()

returns the first result after fetching the entire query result (https://github.com/cloudflare/workerd/blob/main/src/cloudflare/internal/d1-api.ts#L231-L257), explicitly adding

LIMIT 1

LIMIT 1

can be significantly more efficient if you know there are lots of results

While you could, it's generally not recommended. It is much slower than if you use it via workers.
