VSF vs SAP Composable Storefront
Hi all, I’ve been doing research comparing storefront solutions. The advantages of Vue Storefront seem the best pretty clear in all sectors. The question I’m left needing an answer to is, are there any cases or circumstances where you would recommend SAP Storefront over Vue Storefront?

Hi @Aoibhe 👋
I may be biased (I am :D), but I believe VSF would be a better pick. VSF is simply a Next/Nuxt application that is connected to the SAPCC using integrations. You have all the source code for your storefront available for you, without need to extend complex Angular modules.

Oh, absolutely agree. I just need to be able to answer the question “are there Use cases where you would recommend SAP Composable Storefront”.
Right now the only case I can think of is someone who wants a B2B site where they don’t care about customisation or optimisations then you just spin. In and SAP project and you’re done.
But are there any other use cases where SAP would have an advantage? I’m kind of thinking no but I need to be more sure.
I would say that if you want to be fully into SAP ecosystem, than maybe it can be a better choice (though painful).
Or, if you really need SAPCC SmartEdit CMS
Thanks, good point on the SmartEdit side. Will put that in my notes. Think it's going to be a pretty clear case of VSF on 99.9% of use cases, just needed to be able to balance the equation if someone asked.
Well, you can also think of Vue/React vs Angular - that's a huge difference for many 🙂
