Witcher 2 crashes sometimes

While it's annoying, it's not a dealbreaker, I was just thinking that if you see something in log that can be fixed easily it might be worth the shot. Thanks a lot in advance. Game is run via Steam if that changes anything.

the compiler is installed already, without it the game will not run at all. I am using heroic from Fedora copr and that one is still on the older version, I have contacted the maintainer and asked for an update.

There is a whole bunch of d3dx messages in your log. You could try to install d3dx9 from winetricks to see if that helps.
Can't check the specific one needed rn but the general options installs them all
