I'm installing libvirt stuff in a distrobox right now, once it's done installing all the packages I'll see if that works

if you are on bazzite you can do

ujust enable-virtualization

ujust enable-virtualization

it is overkill for some people but more features than gnome boxes. gnome boxes is simpler but you cannot do more advanced stuff on it

yeah running libvirt inside distrobox is... not super great depending on what you try to do

it will take some time to run, but it will install qemu, virt-manager and ovmf(efi support for qemu) so it will get you up and running, it also adds 2 kernel arguments to prevent a bsod that can happen with windows 10 (maybe also 11) vms
