Not sure what ive seen here has me convinced. seems like a bit of a 2 way pissing match from what ive seen having not been following this particular situation closely & not going to expend the time to go digging and understand the entire back story. Given how some parts of the overall Linux community can act - I think often mistakenly percieved as hostile by being overly blunt and direct, then being misinterpreted as hostile when it possibly wasn't intended that way and getting defensive or lashing out. its frustrating and tiring to watch frankly. Id imagine Liam gets non stop messages saying AAAAHHH you are wrong about X Y or Z because maybe there's some bit of information he's missed or glossed over. and eventually that has got to wear on a person where getting defensive just becomes the default. Personally I dont have enough spare energy or hours in the day to try to follow everything going on so I appreciate a lot of the content that dude has put out.
and in the end isnt a handheld running linux whatever its based on a good thing? if it comes out and the hardware is good, but he software is trash the community will likely drive people to discover the good alternatives. and hell maybe that will drive some people to discover bazzite or others. lets go fight against the windows fanboy linux naysayers not with each other.
im going to take a quote from my friend then i am still disappointed that linux does not come with cup holders includedi am still disappointed that linux does not come with cup holders included he never elaborated if we was talking about actual cup holders, but i like to believe we are fixing the lack of cup holders here
documentation, translation, fixing spelling, etc is all contributions. my first contribution here i think was correcting the krita install from yafti as it installed ardour instead
