LiDAR if you to have a longer range, or RFID if tap based are some things I can think of. Now that you've specified it to be based on Tx/Rx distance, check out BLE beacon based usage. You can use RSSI values t translate to distance in meters and set a threshold point for door lock/unlock.

Hi, @K.L.NAGARAJU I'd suggest starting with a simple 8-bit MCU like Arduino Uno board. With it learn how to program MCU, memories, and peripherals (fundamentals like how all works). Then, try to interface various sensors using protocols like Serial UART, I2C, and SPI. Later, pick a 32-bit ARM MCU, and get comfortable with 32 bit registers and operations. And finally, start building projects around the area of your interest. I hope this may help. Best wishes!

One way is to have a packet transfer between two nodes where you authenticate with keyword along with distance calculation.

Let the transmitter be a beacon with the user sending unique bits. Receiver knowing the location of that bit in the datastream can authenticate from there.

Nah, the RF stuff. He's been working on this for a while now - packet transfer, protocol stack etc for automotive applications.

Okay, let's take this bit by bit:

cross check if your SS pin defined in code and hardware are the same - that's the only variable I notice in the code.
UID is from the RFID tag. Are you placing the card on top of the reader? The main loop continually keeps scanning.
If you doubt over hardware or connections made, hook a logic-analyzer and check the SPI frame.
