not a big deal imo, since this is an optional feature. you can still use the plugin perfectly fine without patching steam.

We did it to prevent steam from setting a 15W limit on other hardware

i can report that the steam-patch functionality in the plugin works on the existing TDP sllider

I'm seeing some Wine OpenGL Renderer issues, too, but I've only tested it on one app so don't know if it's wider spread or just that one.

side note, one thing to keep an eye on, there was a recent driver made for the BMI260 gyro: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/bmi260-dkms

this gyro is found in a whole bunch of non-deck handhelds, like GPD, Ayaneo, etc.

Sometimes Wayland crashes and it is necessary to relog or restart into X11 before logging back in to a Wayland session

Dunno what you mean about a "yellow w"
It would be more concerning if random different things caused the crash. A couple specific games tend to crash Wayland for me, such as Metal: Hellsinger. I don't know why
