Audio choices is not persistent after shutdown/reboot

I'm using the latest stable version with the bazzite-deck-gnome image on my desktop, and I've noticed that the audio settings don't persist across sessions, despite the HDMI cable always being plugged in. It consistently defaults to the built-in audio, requiring manual selection of 'HDMI audio' each time
Solution:
This is one of those Linux quirks. For me, I have to swap between DP ports for audio because it is inconsistent as to which DP audio is recognized as 1 or 2 in audio settings despite the ports themselves not being renumbered
