CUgh is a difficult choice my dear @apexinaviation , I've done a lot of research, let me lay the pros and cons of each device:

- Screen have good colors, VRR, small but 1080p so better PPI
- Buttons feel a bit better
- The second most popular handheld after the steam deck, so there's a ton of accessories available, like the modcase from JSAUX and the Killswitch from DBRAND
- Easily moddable to make it accept a 2280 SSD
- BIOS updates without needing Windows
- Joysticks and triggers are potentiometers, so there's a high risk of drifting
- eGPU is limited to the stupidly expensive XG Mobile thingies from ASUS
- If you are a tad unlucky, it will kill not only the SD card reader, but your SD card as well
- No kickstand
- May be too small for some peeps
- Single USB 4 port
- A bit worse Linux support, but that will be solved shortly
CLegion Go
Pros:

- B I G, huge screen, high resolution and refresh rate
- Detachable controllers, plus the FPS gimmick that I honestly liked when I tried it
- Hall effect joysticks and triggers, no drifting
- Big battery, better autonomy than the Ally, altho not by much
- Has a kickstand
- Has 2 USB 4 ports with full eGPU compatibility
- Better linux support
- Constant BIOS updates that need windows to be applied
- Not as popular, so there's less accessories
- B I G
- Can be modded to have a 2280 SSD but is a bit harder and depending of the SSD you'll need to 3D print a back cover
- Gyro is a bit meh

AI'll take my chances on the SD card, with a plan to upgrade to a bigger SSD down the line
COf course it depends for your use case, if you are somebody that commutes a lot and want to bring the device everywhere, the Ally is a better choice, but in my use case, the Legion Go makes a lot more sense, as I usually only play at home, and I want an specific gaming device so I don't have to run games fullscreen in my only screen while working, so I can just plop the device in my table, detach the controllers, and play. to my hearts content
AYeah I move around quite a bit. I know the ally's battery is kinda bad but I don't really mind carrying around a battery bank with me. That makes things a lot more tolerable
Ayeah the bigger display is nicer, only a problem when you have to lug it around. Extra usb port is nice too
Abut its perfectly commutable its not unweildy, the stand is good, and it comes with a carrying case thats really nice
Aits lovely on the plane, you dont have to put it in luggage during takeoff etc
Ai wouldnt use moving around as a reason for preferring the ally, even if its a bit smaller
Athe display is 16:10 with thinner bezels, its really nice, especially for older games that run at 144hz 8w
Abattery bank is a bit of a pain, but if you get an indie title that runs at 8w you can get 3 and a half hours which is great for a long flight
CThe only bag I really use is my fancy coach bag (that my landlord bought for 1K and sold it to me for 170 bucks basically new, score!) which can fit a 15 inch laptop, so really it isn't an issue for me, and by no means I'll use it while commuting, I'm not that suicidal 
Ai have a sling that i put my 14in laptop in the back and the go case in the front
RI am sure a better solution will come along it’s just a shame we don’t have auto tdp like windows

CWell, I don't even have a device that's capable to run linux (I can run it with my MBA but Asahi is still in early dev), but I saw the wonderful things that HHD can do and how it fixes a lot of compat issues, so I just wanna say, thank you!

KAt this time OCI does not support filesystem labeling, so things that require specific selinux labels or caps simply won't have them
Kthat workaround corrects it at boot
Knaturally the moment that's resolved upstream this all goes away
