Region Request: London / UK
Hello. Just thought I'd add my support / request in for a London / UK region! Is this something we can expect at some point? Thanks

At the moment not being able to choose London / Ireland as hosting locations is making us have to consider other providers.
We have several queries which requires multiple roundtrips and its starting to affect our product with our users.
60ms is a big difference

@Mentioum Hey! It's Stephen from Twitter. Thanks for following up. I'll double check with the team again on your tickets. Re: region request - thanks for sharing here - we track these requests and use these threads to help communicate when we have more information to share, or announce. Hope that helps

+1 for London, benchmarking against my AWS RDS instance and seeing 90ms to AWS vs up to 220ms from London to your single EU location which is giving me pause on migrating

+1 for London too, but for data sovereignty reasons. Clients require it hosted in the UK for contractual reasons - shame really as Neon is really good in comparison to others.

AWS London is coming in the begining of 2025
Looks like mid-february rollout for London region

That’s great news. Given I’ve got a mid feb launch date for a London based service 🥹

Any simple way to migrate to a different zone?

nothing more advanced than pg_dump/restore at this point https://neon.tech/docs/introduction/regions#move-project-data-to-a-new-region
rising-crimson•7mo ago
Can confirm this did work though took a while for indexes and caches to warm up

Be sure to run
ANALYZE;
after you pg_restore to get things updated
