VThe hardware of the holo lens is cool but the displays and optics feel super dated to me, even if the tech is modern.

CI managed a VR lab for about 3 years. I'm curious about whether Apple's marketing gospel will get enough people interested in VR products they don't need that the actual giants in that design space will decide it is viable to produce new tech with those years of research and experience
DDoes anyone know how to enable the overlay that shows your FPS? I'm using the deck image on PC, in game mode.
CI'm sure Apple's headset has some advantages over the entrenched but years-old competition. I doubt it will have any consistent advantages over the next wave of products, if there is one. My expectations for A/M/X/VR have been severely tempered by the stagnation and disinterest I have seen over those years working with it. It just isn't necessary for most things, and there are extreme drawbacks to a lot of things it can be used for. I don't think replacing monitors with floating windows is anywhere near enough, especially for $3500. That was always the weakest, least useful front of VR, except for cases like viewing manuals and videos while working on engines. We'll see.

DGot mangohud working, but it doesn't seem to be reading my config file when I'm in the game (configured via goverlay). Is there anything special I need to do to get it to see my config?
AIn game mode it uses steam's config
AIf you must use your own, you can change the game launch command to mangohud %command%
DHmm I think windows might be the best option right now for rog ally until linux gets more developed over time for the ally
