Any tips on how I can be more Italian and less Ivy?
I have been wearing Ivy styles for a long time (e.g. J.Press, polo shirts, OCBDs) but am trying to transition to more Italian styles. Any recommendations or advice?

What do you mean by "Italian"? Pics?
Speaking very generally, slimmer cut suits rather than sack cuts, cotton poplin shirts with semi spread collars rather than OCBDs, finer gauge wool and cashmere sweaters rather than chunky textured Shetlands, sleeker dressy loafers rather than casual rounded toes like alden LHS, Italian brands like Canali, Kiton, and Brioni instead of American brands like J Press, Brooks Brothers, and Polo
check out yoox... they have a lot of Italian fashion brands that are less known here in the US and at discounted prices
in general, I've gotten stuff from there that's got those slimmer Italian styles you're probably looking for
just a warning though, it can be frustrating sometimes as items will have unclear sizing info (especially pants)... so do some research online and be willing to have to return (they charge a ~$6 fee). personally, I haven't had to return anything and am very happy with what I've gotten there so far
Did you mean Alden LHS as an example of ivy or Italian?
think they meant Alden being closer to Ivy
you could check out Carmina (they're Spanish actually), but have some really nice footwear with a slim dressy sillhouette

Alden is very American
