But IIRC it was needed in Kubuntu for sleep/resume to work properly for the graphics

AFAIK, from what i had read in past:
The real effect of that service was to make the driver save the Graphics memory to disk and restore upon resume...

Yea, most ppl don't bother to report bugs you know that.
In contrary i report all i find

Linux...., and now Bazzite as you know, and help anyway i can to make things better...

But to be sure it solves other ppl's problems with sleep/resume on nVidia you could ask them to try that command and ask for feedback.
Just so you don't enable it for nothing in anycase...

anyhow take care have a nice "what ever you're doing"...
