OBS Video Capture Device only showing 1080p instead of 4k
Elgato 4K Pro. The capture utility works just fine but no matter what I try in terms of refresh rate and resolution, OBS will only show 1080p 60

Here's a log file of me just opening and closing OBS. It worked fine this morning. I changed HDMI splitter today to a newer one, but I even plugged back in the old one and its not working either
I just tried xSplit. Same thing. locked at 1080p
Can you post the capture card source settings you're using
What resolution and framerate are you trying to capture
I was able to do 3840x2160 60FPS from a 120FPS source. NV12 Rec. 709 Limited but the capture is limited to 1080p 60 now and I cant change it to anything else
GG @uhTrance, you just advanced to level 6 !
even on 4k capture utility it says "2160p120 Source"
I hit record, 1080p
ive tried different splitters, i tried direct from the gpu to the capture card, i tried reinstalling the driver. Turning it all off and turning it back on, giving it a 4k60 signal instead. Nothing
Reposting here for brevity
The Elgato 4K Pro only supports downscaling the resolution from the input, and does not support downsampling the framerate
Sending 4k120 to the Elgato 4K Pro will only allow you to capture 1080p120, not 4k60
For that you would need the 4K X instead
See the full video and written article for charts on what's supported
