FAlso, where does a distrobox container get its hostname from? I edited /etc/hostname, but anytime the container spins up, it goes back to what it used to be.

KYou should have logo menu in the top left
KIf you don't, enable it from gnome extensions
JI do have the Bazzite logo menu enabled, but it doesn't have a Gaming Mode menu item.
KShould have been set from dconf
KYou can enable it in the settings for that extension
