if you dont want to spend that much then just keep your eyes out for sales and deals like anyone else if you want to go this much out of your way to just get gamemode working

Hwhenever you have the amd card you can just rebase to the other bazzite image and be on your way so there is no rush in general.
DI built a PC for a friend not long ago with that exact card and can tell you it's beautiful. Very chonky and comes with a metal support bracket that you screw into the PCIe Backplates. Also pretty damn quiet.
Hyeah the cooler is pretty good for being a cheap-ish card

Htdp slider is not meant for desktops and is specifically meant for steamdeck, the few handhelds it work for it isnt even showing the right values because it thinks it is on a deck
Aanything else i should know that might not work since its desktop not a deck

Aalso worth mentioning the two sliders were specifically made for the deck and its CPU.
The first slider adjusts the TDP in the 8-15w range that is the sweet spot of the SD, using a ryzen command that only exists on the deck processor and the gpu hz command does the same

AEven if you could make them work, which you kind of can, for a modern processor you need more sliders
Aessentially amd gimped the processor and valve gimped the kernel into making only those two parameters count
Athe valve sd kernel disables most governors on the device for example, so the only way to affect the cpu behavior is with the gpu clock

Hi mean back when i started using bazzite the rx570 got stuck at 15W tdp, was my first issue in bazzite and i provided a workaround which people could use until kyle fixed it
