the kernel does not need to be special either, the linux kernel can be locked down a lot more than windows since its used by enterprise applications :/

"OS doesn't support XYZ at all" is not the correct way of saying "I encountered this bug which caused this issue after I did this, is it known and is there a known fix?"
So both of those questions are already answered and the new questions are "why does this known issue with a known fix happen and is a permanent fix in the works or at least known to be possible?"
@Kyle Gospo how recently was the experimental XWayland explicit sync patch removed? I'm still getting flickering/rubberbanding in Warframe on the latest version, so I'm stuck using the 01/26 image and I'd like to track down why, if I can
Another thought: how exactly do the Nvidia images default to X11? I recall you mentioning that they have for a while, and I've been having issues with not being able to boot/log into a Wayland session
