Hey guys, I just tried to set up a loadbalancer twice (2 different domains), and both times it ended up with

CNAME Cross-User Banned | Cloudflare

CNAME Cross-User Banned | Cloudflare being shown when browsing the balancers endpoint. The origins I'm load balancing to are healthy, the setup was smooth. Anyone got an idea?

One of the domains was freshly registered and never used before, the other domain I tried has been with cloudflare for a while without issues.

what's the origin you're trying to load balance? They're not using CF/something like CF Pages, right?

I'm trying to load balance by geolocation. I was hesitant between a simple cf worker using the request.cfrequest.cf data (which worked well) or a loadbalancer, though I thought the loadbalancer may be a more solid approach and would also help for high availability

You don’t want a configuration rule. You want a redirect rule or bulk redirects

Thanks, I finally understood the issue. They do support to have custom domains, so I guess I'll try that. Really appreciate your help @Chaika

Yes, but the issue is, for a resolver to know what ns1.mydomain.com resolves to, it would need to ask your Nameserver, which is ns1, causing a loop
