Cashmere-linen blend?
Does this blend make any sense? What does the cashmere do here?
Subject of the question is a sport jacket, 50-50 cashmere-linen. Cashmere is supposed to be soft and warm, while linen is coarse and cool, they seem to be of opposite qualities.

Leviticus 19:19: "neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee."
The properties complement each other quite well.
Linen is breathable and hard wearing but absorbs moisture and can take lot of wear and washing to feel soft. Cashmere is more delicate and retains heat, but wicks moisture well and will make it feel soft to the touch.
It's just a fancy wool/linen blend which plenty of suits etc come in
Thanks! So could be a good option for a spring jacket? Probably too warm for summer?
That probably depends on where you live and how warm you run! Wool linen is good three season for me.
