at which you might end up with 2 autostart scripts for fixing the screen, just remove your script for fixing it in a few days once /usr/libexec/hardware/rotation-fix-hardware ; echo $?/usr/libexec/hardware/rotation-fix-hardware ; echo $? returns 0

you will have to make edits to prevent the oneshots to be a requirement then, essentially overwrite the files that run the oneshot session on first boot and make sure you keep track of when those are updated upstream with incompatible changes
