Quick question. I’m getting some noise in the pitch axis of my stick. Popping off the cover it seems to be a bit of a tolerance thing where the metal rod goes into the 3d print. I tried snugging up those 4 screws, but it still seems to be rubbing there or something. Any advice is appreciated!

what res and scaling are you running? I've already implemented what's possible inside the PyQT framework for handling windows scaling. I only have the ability to test at 1440p, but my understanding was that it was resolved after that fix (was quite bad at first)

i have a small screen for the desktop, and use VR for flying, so the scaling is turned up a little to be able to read the screen

Interesting.. I guess I never considered that anyone would use scaling at 1080p

I just tested and do see a little clipping of the text and checkboxes. Will have to see if I can adjust the widget properties to accommodate it

The important bits from a TelemFFB perspective are:

Make sure you bind the trim release in the TelemFFB settings.
Make sure you have enough spring force enabled in your configurator profile that the joystick can properly sit centered when hands off.

If your joystick sags from center due to the weight of the grip and extension offset, use the balance force settings and adaptive centering.

The “hands on/off” detection depends on proper centering ability.

The other important bit is to make sure the helicopter is set up properly in its in-game settings.

If your running the latest version installed by Hype Operations Center, follow the guidance in the TelemFFB manual on setting up the iPad.

While you're tightening stuff, also check the five bolts on each large pulley. I had some clunking coming from them, and a 1/8 turn on each bolt sorted it out.

Thanks guys for the recommendations! While it wasn’t those in particular (I did snug them up a bit though) I found it was actually the bolts holding in the grip attachment. It was just under the dust boot, so I didn’t think about them earlier. If they do get loose again I might throw some thread lock in them if it’s safe to do.

N00b here

Just trying to set the stick up in DCS, have FFB ticked in settings and stick set to instant trim.
Problem is the stick recenters after I've clicked trip, ie it always wants to stay centered rather than staying in position.
Had a good read through but nothings jumping out at me.

Had another play, it's not recentering, if I go 20d to the right and click trim the stick jumps to 20d left.
If I click trim reset, it centres

Just worked it out, had the axis reversed in DCS, put those back and reversed in the VP software and now all good

Easy replacement, but I see only the top part is damaged so I guess it should hold the grip until a replacement arrives.
Maybe the grip was not fully tightened or was it cross-threaded?

i imagine i cross threaded it unfortunately, main problem is now the damaged side doesn’t thread at all so it screws on lopsided and doesn’t tighten properly

Hey guys, I'm using the TM Hornet grip. Set to generic in VPForce settings. Currently the 1st stage trigger activates ALL buttons simultaneously, and no other buttons work at all. It was this way at first a week or two ago when I first put this grip on so I asked here, then it fixed itself so I told you all was well. Now it's doing it again. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Yes, but FWIW it was working when I shut down the PC before the weekend and none of that has been touched since.

Actually wait, I did loosen the grip a bit to twist it a little more left from where it was.. and that may have been after it was tested working. I'll take it apart and replug I guess. Was trying not to mess with it since I got it exactly where I want it.

personally I would want to rule out the extension (I had issues with my Virpil 200mm offset). See how it behaves directly connected to the rhino

I know I'm not the first who has found that with the Rhino mounted the way it's meant to be, it's too far forward if you don't have a seat with a cutout in the center for the stick!

And thank you, the extension was not loose at all, but after unplugging and replugging the bottom end it works! I tried replugging the top first, and that didn't help, but the bottom did.

I have a different extension cable to try too. It's not a virpil extension but I'm using the virpil extension cable. I have the annoying super short cable that came with the non-virpil extension to try if this happens again.

Hi, just received the Rhino today. So far so good. I'm using WinWing adapter with Winwing F-16EX grip. The grip has "shaker" -part. Obviously the shaker doesn't work. However, the addon part has few extra axis and buttons. Most of the buttons on addon part work. Nevertheless, none of the three axis work and also few buttons dont work. I recall one instance when the axes didn't work at first, all that was needed was to calibrate the axes on a WinWing base with their software

Hey again, got another A2A Comanche question.. I tried different settings on the Elevator Prop Flow settings, but there seems to be no effect. Even with full RPM on the ground the Elevator Droop effect doesn't decrease its force, this can't be correct right? I'm also not seeing the effect appear in the monitoring tab of the TelemFFB software. Edit: Elevator Droop effect shows up, Prop Flow doesn't.

Il2 sometimes is fussy if there more HID devices connected, you can try different USB sockets, or hiding other devices using HID HideHID Hide utility

Hi there, any advice would be greatly appreciated if any of you happen to know off the top of your head. I use the monster tech chair and plan to have the base product as a centre mount. Due to its size it looks likely I'll need to get an extension. I use Virpil and Thrustmaster grips. Is there a recommended extension to get(and possibly length if you happen to know) as I read the Virpil extension doesn't work so well with the base. Thanks to anyone who can help
