RI think I tried that first but I noticed it would cause the computer to fail booting sometimes because the drives sometimes didn't mount automatically

KI'd say you might need the caps set, but fsync should do that for you

Fnever mind, lact is working now. not sure why corectrl isn't, tried launching in terminal and I'm not really seeing anything, but as long as one of them works, I'm happy.

FI distrobox as much as I can (when flatpak isn't an option). me personally, I'd toss that in an Arch container and call it good.

Fit depends. most things I use a single box for (usually arch). I have several development boxes for different dev environments, and one box for a specific application because I want it isolated and not messed with.
