COnce I un-freeze my system enough to open a terminal, I'm going to use the commands you gave right after this to restore gnome system monitor, but I don't think it should be disabled at all. Mission center and Resources both occasionally fail to end/kill processes, and currently both are failing to open. I don't think I have had system monitor fail at either, and it was my go-to backup solution..
CNow, I may be the only person to ever encounter that issue since it seems to be related to a very specific type of what appears to be a partial Nvidia driver crash which is sometimes caused by running out of VRAM, but also other things
CBut I may not be the only one who needs the more reliable stock option sometimes

CHELP! just updated the OS via terminal with just update and now my legion go starts in dekstop mode and im unable to return to game mode. even after selecting return to game mode, it promps me for a password and nothing happens afterwars.
