Ias per a new balance change you may need to sleep in an enclosed area with a door for it to be registered as sleeping in a “base” else they will try to attack you if you try to sleep

Dso, its been a bit since I played the first game on ps4. but like. in sotf, the cannibals are so much worse? they obliterate me

TI found that making two bases close to each other is best, that way you can run or better yet zip back and forth. throws off the cannibals

NThey don't in pre 1.0 saves. You can mod the setup files, but it's not for the faint.
Tit's pretty hard to adapt to if you're used to the respawn hack.....
