VFor the life of me, I cannot get easyeffects to work. I've set up my filters exactly the way I want them but I have several crippling issues.
#1: The audio is blasting out to such a distorted level that it's comically unusable. Attempting to lower the gain anywhere in GNOME results in it quickly, in increments, raised back up to maximum.
#2: It seems a herculean task to actually get the audio routed to Discord as an example. Easy Effects Source continues to just pick up my base mic, with none of the filters it itself is supposed to be applying.

Aif you are using an eq in easyeffects you need to lower your gain in easyeffects

Aif you raise bass by 5db you need to lower the gain by 5db

I have to admit that I've exhausted the ways I can think of to fix the audio getting blown out. Lowering it in different places makes it legible but it sounds like garbage still.
Could you tell me where in my stack I should be adjusting it? Forgive me if I'm missing something completely obvious.

Aif you need to drop the volume to make some headroom do it in the beginning not the end

VUnfortunately, it continues to not override the mic's audio. As for lowering the gain, it just sounds... wrong, no matter what I do. I've replicated my setting on my macbook and my Windows machine perfectly, but with the same hardware plugging into the same computer with the same settings (in theory), it somehow has an issue because I'm booted into the linux partition?
RWith Nvidia 550 dropping, I kinda want to try Plasma to see if I can get VRR working right! Is there anything I should keep in mind when switching from the gnome image to plasma, like any issues that could occur?
Kyes, any number of things can blow up
Kupstream recommends not rebasing across DEs and we are not really going to be able to support you
Kwelcome to try it, but expect to find things are easier w/ a reinstall

Aim talking in outside of steam wise and inside steam cuz i have back buttons they are programmed by their software of company but software dont work in linux apparently ig

Hconfigure in windows the way you want it, reboot to linux and never change it.

Ai was wondering why the rebase commands were removed entirely from the ublue pages, now i see why
Awhat made silverblue nice was that you can switch between DEs and the only thing you had to worry about was the home dotfiles
Kthat's not specific to us, Fedora makes that recommendation in regards to Silverblue/Kinoite/Etc
KThe main images & rebase commands were removed because the main images were designed to be consumed, not used as your host operating system
Kthat's where the other projects here come into play

Hif only there was a way to solve it using something like overlayfs and just add the gnome/kde desktop bits to $HOME by adding a layer with their configs, until they fixed that (or offered a "cleanup kde/gnome configs" in their UIs)
NThe most annoying thing to me is that KDE plasma isn't super well documented in regards to customizing the dotfiles either. I looked into how to do some things which I thought were basic and omg did I have to search Google to figure it out.

Ayeah i had a hard time figuring out changing stuff KDE/Qt (i.e. setting dark mode) going through the arch wiki, it wasn't as nice as simply setting stuff in dconf and the GTK apps simply just follow that
Awell there's the small complication of either the app being gtk4 or gtk 3.0
Hkinda tempted to just make a user and git init the home and change some settings that usually get weirded out when swapping DE and track the changes and write a script to just rm those files 
Hand then i think about it and think that might be overkill
Hthen if you have extra usb controllers (not gamepads) on your motherboard, enable vfio and iommu , pray that you have good iommu group layout for your usb controllers and pass the spare usb controller to the VM, locate the ports that got sent to the VM (as they are disconnected from your host machine now) and then configure it in a windows VM.
this is some pretty advanced stuff though and not recommended unless you know what you are doing.
if you have only 1 usb controller on your motherboard, you can forget using a VM for this and would have to do it on a windows machine.

Aalso quite is a problem i only able to use m3 and m4 back buttons no m1 m2 back buttons just wont work whatsoever
Aso what does the clean reinstall part mean? is it a complete rewrite of / including /var/home, or the /var/home can stay considering i think it has its own volume in the luks partition?
Hm3 and m4 are probbably mapped to nothing
DNvidia session feels a little bit better, still desperately need explicit sync
