Their suit has quite a few lies in it and severe inaccuracies. The only thing that has truth (from what I have read so far) to it is that yuzu has benefited from the leak by people donating. But not pushing out patches to fix totk before release. All those patches were 3rd party people compiling and distributing yuzu with patches for it
The ironic thing is that he was right and AAA studios has also started forcing price to become a factor too in the last few years. But it is mostly a service issue (in quite some countries it is also a pricing issue, especially now)
It’s quite funny I recently read up on some indie game dev I think who just did regional pricing by conversion rates directly Then he noticed a lot of the Brazilian fans of the game couldn’t or wouldn’t afford it So that person adjusted the pricing to what’s more equal to the Brazilian hourly income And suddenly the largest part of the fan base was Brazilians who could not even speak English
i am actually claiming every free game and then buying the ones i want from steam benefits the devs more (as epic pays them out per free claim) and i get a game recommendation
Epic taking a smaller cut doesn’t mean it’s the right choice for developers when they’ll sell more games on steam and are able to give more features on steam
