Id like to wear it without looking like an edgelord. Is there a way to bring nuance to the look

not formal. but casual/streetwear.
id like a slight edge but not total edgelord

Not sure what you mean but maybe just invest in waterproof pieces that are black and grey and things that have cargo pockets 🤷♂️
