ZBut how do I use sunshine from game mode, right now I am in desktop mode
Hit starts in gamemode if you enable the autostart
Hit is a bit finiky, but i will be having a look at that as soon as i have some freetime
Hit should start with gamemode when you boot
Hbut if you go into desktop mode then back to gamemode, it will not restart sunshine (even though the service fails)
MYeah it’s pretty inconsistent with autostart in game mode, I flagged it to the sunshine team but never heard back about it.
For now the most consistent way is starting via SSH in game mode or some artificial delay in the auto start command.

Mthe weirdest part I noticed is that if you start it in ssh via game mode, it seems to persist between session switching

ZNope, no activity at all from sunshine in game mode no matter how many times I restart
KYou can just use steam streaming in gamemode, it's only a Wayland vs X11 issue on the desktop
KThat's why that was my first question
ZNope, using steam link reboots my machine for some reason, and it is very unstable in X11

KYou can run it in a nested desktop if you're using kde
KJust don't close the desktop and keep it running. You can then use moonlight.
