KHi there, I am using Cloudflare Zero Trust with access groups to whitelist certain IP adressses and emails. Only emails seem to be working. IP whitelisting is not making any difference. Anybody knows how to fix this?

IBy "delegation" do you mean changing DNS on a registered Route53 domain to Cloudflare?
Jyes, I'm getting a 301 loop when it's using cloudflare (proxied) and I'm assuming something is being passed
IIf you're already using Cloudflare nameservers then that's likely not the problem.
IUsually it's because the service behind Cloudflare doesn't know that it's running on HTTPS. You need to:
- deploy a certificate to the server behind Cloudflare, either a real certificate, or a Cloudflare Origin Certificate that you can download on the dashboard
- change your SSL mode from Flexible to Full (Strict)
Jit's an ELB not a single server
IDoes ELB have an option to enable HTTPS or allow you to upload your own certificate?
IIf not you might need to put Cloudfront in front of it and then point Cloudflare to Cloudfront, which is non-ideal but would work.
IThe danger with leaving it on Flexible mode is that Flexible pretends like your site is encrypted when it's really not:
- User -> Cloudflare: HTTPS
- Cloudflare -> ELB: insecure HTTP (but the user can't tell that)
IFlexible effectively tricks the user into thinking the connection is secure when it's not, which is quite bad for e.g. logins or payment portals.
Jyes, the certificate is already on the ELB. That's how it was working before.
