Like I said I wish them luck

It reads to me like a plug and play platform
. Like you have this on a flash drive in some cases like how you install bazzite
. Hence on tvs and stuff

yes 10m sunk to linux gaming thats not bad at all

3/18/24, 5:23 PM
I could see it for running Linux and then having this on a flash drive for whatever bullshit they have to do for anticheat to be supported
5
59smoke
•
3/18/24, 5:23 PM
But like I don
’t believe it
5
59smoke
•
3/18/24, 5:23 PM
At least they
’re paying chimera os devs
A
antheas
•
3/18/24, 5:23 PM
the only way anticheat can work is if they spec the device themselves
D

I think the biggest w for Linux might be the
$10M going to arm gaming

and somehow prevent the kernel from being swapped
, that
's firmly
"closed source
" territory

i believe that an open source anticheat solution is possible

but i also believe theres not enough money in it

i will say i don
't have much hope for playtron

3/18/24, 5:25 PM
i hope it works out but
A
antheas
•
3/18/24, 5:25 PM
yes you
'd need to use a signed kernel
, but theres technology to solve that
. Now if they pay enough to solve it thats a different question

I think it
’s forward thinking that a lot of goofy and cheap devices running Linux and powerful arm chips could use a solution like this

What I find funny is
