I was using git integration, for some reason I needed to use GitHub actions to build my pages project and deploy it using pages action. So I deleted the project and re-created it so I can use assets upload. But when I try to add my custom domain it says:

if a domain example.comexample.com is a Cloudflare Zone inside Account ID 1, and a Cloudflare Pages project exists for Account ID 2.

Can example.comexample.com (the apex) be added as a Custom Domain on the Pages project? Or do you need to actually own the zone / have access to the zone for it to work?

I'm a bit confused about how this should be configured for local dev. When I run

with the preview_database_id set to my actual previews database id, am I running locally with my previews database remote from the edge?

When I want a miniflare D1 DB local for dev, should I be changing the

to not have the actual preview_database_id and replace it with just "DB"?

Why are there two listed here? Why are they both the same in the first scenario? Both bindings are set to "DB", and that's how they're referenced in my functions.

I have the impression that my

is correct because my CI migration wrangler d1 migrations applywrangler d1 migrations apply with and without --preview--preview appear to be running on the expected DBs. I'm just still quite a bit confused about how this should be set up for local dev. I could maybe use a separate .toml file for local dev? I could try to remember to change the file each time I want to work locally? Maybe I'm missing something?

Just to save myself any unexpected pain, has anyone added sign up / log in (and/or SSO via Google or something) to their Cloudflare Pages site? And if so, what did you use? Just trying to save myself re-inventing the wheel. I'd probably use Next.js for the project, but really looking for npm packages that people trust/know work etc.

I feel like I am losing my mind with Lucia

npm create cloudflare@latest

to create a new Next.js project.

I put in all the bits required for Lucia based on their guide, and it all works fine until I need to retrieve the D1 binding. To do that, in a Next.js server action, I use

 getRequestContext().env.DB

I need the runtime to be edge. As soon as I add that runtime constant, all hell breaks loose and it complains about

Hey, I've got few websites that most of them consume a set of common images.
I was thinking of creating a CF page project (eg assets.mydomain.com) that will only host the images (pre-optimized)
And on my other websites I fetch those images from that assets.mydomain.com project.
Would this violate CF ToS? I remember there was something about video, but not sure about images and can't find something with some google foo

So my use case is this:
We have a bunch of websites, that have some images, eg hero image etc. not much.
Its build on nextjs but we export the site as static. We dont need SSR and the stuff.

We do use some 3rd party exporter for optimizing the images during build, but there are issues (upstream), where aren't easily solved.
On the other hand other frameworks have much better support for optimizing images at build time.

And I had a shower thought, that I could use that framework to deploy a dummy page with all the images I want and fetch them on my other sites.
But, ofcourse this "hack" is just that. Hack

But thanks for mentioning this, I had this on my head as an "image optimizaton" only service.
But I looked again and also supports delivery too.

Now gotta figure the current image fetch count. I dont support it will be that big !
