hm i wonder if that's related to the fedora atomic uefi partition issue where if you pick auto partitioning it can't install because it doesn't know what to do with the efi partition

That error happened to me too, it was "solved" by just wiping the entire drive, you probably don't need to make a new usb

when the installer asks you to select where to install, keep it on auto partitioning and then select every partition to be deleted, there's also a button there that marks all of them to be deleted
