Thoughts on these Cole Haans? Or am I better off with Stan Smiths or low top leather Converse?
Looking for a new white minimalist sneaker to replace my old white Stan Smiths. Wondering if I should go for another pair of all white Smiths or try something different like these Cole Haans on sale on Amazon, or some all white leather Converse. For reference I'm a 5'6 male, going for the Basic Bastard look to wear with either jeans in the winter or shorts in the summer.

ive owned a couple of pairs of these - theyre cheap, comfy, and lightweight. but, the first pair i got like 7 or 8 years ago felt like it was much better made than the second pair i got maybe in 2019ish? that second pair barely lasted a year of getting worn maybe once or twice a week to the office before it started falling apart. ive upgraded to koios since then but am also a fan of converse
I would consider some white canvas high top chuck 70s, imo they would be a great move
vans authentics are my mono white sneaker of choice and about the same price as the CH linked
For white sneakers you can’t go wrong with a canvas vans authentic or era in white or off-white, they’re pretty cheap too
But seriously, the cole haan's are not very nice. The leather chucks are okay but overall the white leather minimalist sneaker look is a bit dated. If you really like it stick with the stan smiths but either a canvas sneaker or a more fun leather sneaker will serve you better these days

I have these in the natural white and i love them, i was a chuck 70’s man forever and i’m fully converted to these
I would avoid those minimalist leather type sneakers just because they are pretty dated these days. You can stay basic bastard but still he more on trend by sticking to a canvas sneaker

QUick question, are the Vans easy to slip on and off? I'm always in a hurry and I like that the Stan Smiths have a bit of an opening so I'm always slipping them on and off without using my hands, so I'm wondering if the Vans are the same?

The shoes like pottery linked above are a very good option. As are chuck 70s and vans authentic that were already mentioned. I also like Novesta. For leather options I'm partial to new balance. I like 99x models, as well as 1906 and 610 but those are by far not the only nice ones. Adidas samba's are also still popular.
