Instead of copying from /usr/etc it should be a symlink to encourage people to not mess with the file.

If they remove the symlink then it's on them to make sure things work. The file alone can be modified but won't get our updates.

I'll add some stuff on the pull for getting shell completion working and zsh/fish stuff

none of the solutions had great support for oci installs still, so hacking it into anaconda or waiting for osbuild to support our use case

so, no, we don't explicitly build for that version of the kernel, we build against the latest kernel in the surface-kernel repo

it seems that a few of the kmods are not compiling with 6.8... i actually saw this on our fedora preview builds, too

i think simply rebuilding akmods will fix the nvidia red builds, too... it seems we built akmods just a bit "too soon"... it has a slightly older version of the nvidia version 550.67550.67 is now current but earlier this morning it was still 550.54550.54
